Reconstitution & Dosage Calculator
Calculate reconstitution concentrations, dosage volumes, and syringe units for research peptides. Select a preset or enter custom values.
Lyophilized compound in vial
Volume of BAC water to add
Amount per administration
Concentration
5.00 mg/ml
5000 mcg/ml
Volume Per Dose
0.050 ml
250 mcg = 0.050 ml
Syringe Units
5.0 units
Draw to the 5.0 mark on 0.5 ml (50 units) syringe
Doses Per Vial
40 doses
at 250 mcg each
Formula
10mg ÷ 2ml = 5.00 mg/ml
250mcg ÷ 5000mcg/ml = 0.0500 ml
0.0500ml ÷ 0.01ml/unit = 5.0 units
Draw to 5.0 units for 250 mcg

Recommended
- •Use bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol) as solvent
- •Add solvent slowly down the side of the vial
- •Swirl gently to dissolve — never shake
- •Refrigerate reconstituted solution at 2-8°C
- •Use reconstituted solution within 28 days
- •Maintain sterile technique throughout
- •Use alcohol swabs on vial stoppers before drawing
Avoid
- •Using plain sterile water (no preservative for multi-use)
- •Directing solvent stream onto lyophilized powder
- •Shaking or agitating vigorously
- •Leaving reconstituted solution at room temperature
- •Freezing reconstituted solutions
- •Using contaminated or expired solvents
- •Re-using needles between vials
